Giving Fear a Proper Name: Detroit, 1984
The artist produced this book from a diary she kept about dreams, recollections, and fears on relocating to Detroit in 1979. Facing pages, one of poems and the other of photocollages depict such experiences. The photographs were reprinted from "Portrait of an Artist and Her Mother."The experiences described among others include "kainophobia": fear of change, "eremiphobia": fear of solitude. Measures, 2002
Joyce Kaiser reprinted lines from the first poem of "Measures" by Nadya Aisenberg, reflecting on life's meaning. The lines of the poem are individually printed and placed randomly on all sides and top and bottom of the poem object. A chestnut is placed on the front of the base and resembles an Oriental rock. The book, published by salmonpoetry, consists of Aisenberg's poetry.
